The Launch of #TheCashewAppleProject

Anita Okoye Officially Launches #TheCashewAppleProject

On Tuesday, 21 December, 2016, Anita Okoye held a launch event at Oasis Medspa Ikoyi for her new venture #TheCashewAppleProject. The wife of PSquare’s Paul Okoye has been working behind the scenes with her American co-founders since late September preparing for the launch of the project, which is “A mission to uncover Africa’s Hidden Jewels”.

The intimate event was a chance for Anita and her team to explain “The CAP” which will be a series of missions to encourage Africa and the rest of the world to see the value in African art, music, agriculture, fashion, infrastructure, and more. Anita expressed her love for Africa and captivated her guests with a heartfelt speech saying:

“#TheCashewAppleProject is a mission to uncover these hidden jewels and show the world how rich we really are, but first we must see our own value. We must see the value in our agriculture, in our fashion, our music. We must see value in the rich and the poor, the young and the old. We must look beneath, around, and within our flaws, and we must see the value within ourselves. So again I thank you for joining me in this journey, our collective efforts will tell the world that Africa is covered in treasure, and we will spark the search for our hidden jewels”

Anita also presented her new book The ABCs of Africa which will be the first of many amazing things to come from the project. The book highlights 26 hidden jewels that hide within Africa’s agriculture and Hans and Rene, which has officially partnered with the movement, was one of many sponsors for the launch providing the guests with free samples of sorbets that match the foods in the book. The ABCs of Africa is now available for pre-order at AnitaOkoye.Com and is set to officially release in early Spring after Anita completes her tour in America.

Of course Anita’s husband Paul, and brother in laws Peter and Jude Okoye were there to support with their wives. Guests also enjoyed a live performance by Rudeboy Recordz artist Muno.
