Intercultural Communications at Kennesaw

On Monday, March 6, 2017 project co-founders Dr. Theresa Mamah and Natasha Norman visited Kennesaw State University in Atlanta GA. While there they acted as guest professors for Dr. Cindy Milligan who teaches communications classes at the school.

They shared #TheCashewAppleProject mission and and also engaged in open conversation about the stereotypical view of Africa. The students, who are studying intercultural communication, were excited to share their opinions and beliefs, and they were encouraged to open their minds to new perspectives

This is the second school appearance for #TheCashewAppleProject, and there are plans to visit 10 other colleges and universities in the Atlanta Metro area over the next few months. 



Dr. Cindy Milligan has a Ph.D. in Communication from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia. She teaches various communications courses and her research focuses on voice, performance language, linguistics, with a specific emphasis on the use of voice in film. Cindy has worked as a voice actor, voice and speech coach, and communications consultant for more than 20 years. She was the acting and voice coach on “Coming Up Roses,” a television program produced by Dallas Austin, voiced hundreds of television and radio commercials, documentaries, videos, and voice mail systems. She has worked in television and radio broadcasting and traveled internationally as a motivational speaker.
